Our Story

The Court House Hotel has been part of Mudgee’s story for generations. Once known as the Belmore Hotel, this old girl has been pouring beers for longer than anyone can quite remember. She's had a few glow-ups along the way, but her role as a local watering hole has never changed.

These days the Courty is in the hands of a mixed bag of (mostly) locals who love Mudgee as much as they love to laugh — and lean in for "just one more". It's still early days, but we’re plotting a fresh lease on life for the pub (these things take time though), all while hanging on tightly to all the glorious quirks and character that make the Courty feel like home.

So whether you’re a local looking for your regular haunt, a visitor chasing a classic country pub experience, or simply in need of a decent schnitty and a Mudgee vino (or a cold one), you’ll find a seat at our table for sure. Court is always in session. 🍻

A smiling woman wearing a blue shirt stands behind a counter in a store, with shelves of liquor bottles and snacks in the background, and a refrigerator filled with drinks to her right.
Two people sitting at a round wooden table with wine glasses and a small vase with greenery in a cozy setting, smiling and enjoying drinks.
A man and woman smiling with their arms around each other in a bar or restaurant, behind the bar with beer taps and a bulletin board with photos on the wall.
